what has been bothering m(e) for a while now while reading (about) operaismo but i’m only now becoming able to put it into words is this: the almost complete absence of (an analysis of) interdependence. an extension of this is the absence of intersectionality, but i think it is helpful in this context to focus on imo intersectionality’s main contribution: spotlighting of the empirical interdependence of forms of domination/oppression/exploitation. in m(y) reading of/on operaismo so far, while the potential for such an analysis is there through the foundational concept of class composition, i have yet to see a serious analysis of class composition through the perspective of interdependence.
